Mystical Mermaid Party
Every little girl dreams of being a mermaid, and for these two girls in Boston, this dream came to life! Extraordinary event specialist Kate Landers of Kate Landers Events, LLC let her imagination run wild and definitely thought outside the box when creating the breathtaking event. This beautiful party is the essence of Kate’s personal style, filled with everything vintage, darling, charming and shabby chic! “I loved the very soft, feminine, romantic elements of the party for young girls, and that it is a beauty to behold,” says Kate. “The dessert table was a joy, as it was created to mimic creatures you would find on the ocean floor–sea urchins, sea anemones, sand dollars and so forth. Real sand was used for the girls to really feel as if they were under the wild waves of the sea, dining together with their favorite stolen treasures off sunken ships.” So look below, as the magic awaits!!

“I created this party so the girls could feel as if they were mermaids, creating an experience as opposed to just another celebration,” Kate continues. And she did just that. “Children’s imagination is precious, and creating a party that is less-commercial and more imaginative can nurture their imaginations, and on top of that, can be an extraordinary event to celebrate the life of a child.” Talented and beautiful both inside and out, Kate Landers truly took a birthday party for two little girls to another magical world.

Alice In Wonderland Photoshoot
ENCHANTING. MAGICAL. SURREAL. These are just a few words to describe this ahh-maaazing, dream-like, Alice in Wonderland party setting photographed by the super talented Laura Winslow of Laura Winslow Photography in Phoenix. I mean, seriously… are you kidding me? I’ve been wanting to share this post since Laura sent me these photos a few weeks back, and been waiting for the right time to share this jewel of a party. It was just too precious… and you’ll know what I mean.
Laura collaborated with some of the most talented & creative designers and artists in the childrens industry, and I’m so excited to share this with you that I can hardly contain myself!! To start, the table & set designs were done by none other than the mastermind Kim of The TomKat Studio, clothing and accessories were the works of Grace of Finley and Oliver and Mia of Dolce Vita Mia, and hair styles were creations of Traci Rogers, and floral arrangements by Zuzu’s Petals. Any way you look at it, this is definitely ultimately PLUSH!

I’ve always wanted to do an Alice in Wonderland inspired party if I ever had a girl, but this one definitely takes the cake. Fabulous job everyone!

So how did Leesa create all this magic? ”3 Words: Balloon. Barn. Facade.”, was the first thing Leesa said when imagining the transformation of the vast space. And from there the vision took off. “My knack for creating magical birthday scenes is probably rooted in my background as an actress. Combine that with a 20 year track record, creating all sorts of party memories both big and small. “For me, parties are very theatrical,” she said. “It has to feel like you’re walking into that world.”
