It’s rare for moms to get an afternoon off…how would you spend it?  We spent the afternoon at the Pamper Me Fabulous event at the breathtaking Terranea resort in Palos Verdes last weekend, and what fun we had!  It was a perfect day for mommys to relax and indulge yourself.

Our first stop was The Bazaar where companies such as Aveda and Dermalogica gave skin care and beauty tips and OPI was giving FREE manicures! We stopped by Sensa, a wonderful alternative to dieting by gaining satisfaction from smaller portions of food.  Next, we visited Vision Essentials by Kaiser Permanente,where we were able to shop for some of the most stylish sunglasses out there and learn some helpful lessons about eye care.   Another great sponsor that was there was Kaiser Permanente Thrive.  The Thrive campaign embodies Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to total health.  Their integrated health care delivery system and commitment to preventive care empowers members to maximize their total health-mind, body and spirit.

After purchasing some wonderful items from Linx & More and Gourmet Blends we were able to get to The Expert Corner just in time to learn about the benefits of using organic skin care products and how to determine which type is the right one for us.  It was very informational. We even learned a little about the role of the USDA and FDA in skincare products.  On our way out, we saw a huge line of ladies waiting to hear Patti Stanger, who has a reality show called millionaire matchmaker, give her seminar on “How to Look Fabulous, Inside & Out”.

Next we decided to check out all the fun that was going on outside.  We went out to The Fitness Area where we saw a pregnant mommy learning some Zumba moves.  It was so awesome to see the women working out together and having such a great time while doing it.  We decided to wind our day down with some complimentary Allegro coffee and tea from Whole Foods which was also outside in the patio area.  While we were sipping on tea and relaxing we heard the dj start to play some upbeat music and guess who we saw rockin’ out!??  The pregnant mommy from the Zumba class…what a great way to end the day!
